Ancelotti: I have never seen this Serasis Stadium

– Coach Carlo Ancelotti criticized the racist behavior shown by the public of Valencia supporters at the Mestalla Stadium, Sunday (22/5/2023).

The Italian coach admitted that he had never seen an entire stadium acting racist and mocking opposing players by calling monkeys.

Vinicius was rewarded with a red card by the referee in a match at home to Valencia, Sunday (21/5/2023). Referees dismissed him for elbowing Valencia’s Hugo Duro in the face after he attempted to point out that the Mestalla crowd were making racial slurs at the 22-year-old.

Carlo Ancelotti showed an angry expression during the press conference after the match which ended 0-1 for Valencia.

Vinicius received racial treatment from supporters of Barcelona, ​​RCD Mallorca, Atletico Madrid, Real Valladolid, CA Osasuna, Real Betis and Valencia.

“What to do? You can’t play football like that. I would say the same thing if we won. It’s too serious. They insult Vinicius all the time and then give him a red card,” he explained.

“I am very sad. This is a league with great teams, but we have to get rid of this. We are in 2023. The only way is to stop the games, it is true that there is a protocol, but we have to go home.”

“This cannot continue. He (Vinicius) is the player who receives the most violations and insults,” Ancelotti said again.

“I told the referee I was going to take him off and he told me he had to continue,” he said.

Vinicius then received a red card for allegedly elbowing a Valencia player. Ancelotti also criticized the attitude of Valencia supporters who called Vinicius a monkey.

“With the red card, the whole stadium was screaming monkey, monkey, monkey. I am very sad. He is still small and he wants to continue, but in these conditions it is very complicated.”

Vinicius was sent off for aggressive behavior in a clash with some Valencia players.

“The VAR people created aggression,” claimed Ancelotti.

“He was just trying to free himself. The player is sad because all he wants to do is play football.

“He’s not angry. He’s sad. In my opinion, we should stop the game,” he added.

“It’s not one person is crazy, it’s the stadium is crazy. I’ve never seen an entire stadium make racist insults,” Ancelotti said again.
