Persis Solo Defeats Barito Putera 2-1, Coach Milo: As Desired

Solo, Beritasatu.com– Persis Solo managed to win again in their home match when they hosted PS Barito Putera in the continuation round of the 2023/2024 League 1 season at Manahan Stadium, Solo City, Central Java, Saturday (9/3/2024) evening with a score of 2-1.

Persis Solo's two goals were scored by Alexis Messidoro in the 16th minute and Altaf Indie in the 68th minute. Meanwhile, Barito Putera's goal was contributed by Gustavo Tocantins in the 29th minute.

This victory brought Persis to eighth position with a collection of 38 points. Meanwhile, Barito Putera is in 10th place with 37 points/

Playing in front of 12,129 spectators, Persis Solo was able to show its best performance even though the match was tough because both teams showed each other very intense buying and selling attacks. Both the home team and the visiting team had many goal opportunities, but victory remained in the hands of Laskar Sambernyawa.

Regarding the results of this match, the coach of Persis Solo, Milomir Seslija, said that everything was as desired, namely winning three points again at home.

“Winning at home twice in a row is certainly not an easy thing, but today we were able to produce the desired results,” he said.

However, he admitted that his players had made mistakes so that the opposing team could score a goal and equalize in the first half. However, fortunately this could be corrected in the second half.

“Earlier in the first half we managed to score a pretty beautiful goal, but then we made a mistake but in the end we were able to turn things around to make it 2-1,” he said.

On the other hand coaches Milo also thanked the players who had played according to instructions and were patient until they got the desired results. Moreover, this match was played while still tired after playing with 10 players against PSM Makassar.

He also thanked the supporters who provided full support throughout the match.

“It's definitely not an easy thing for us, but thanks to the support of the supporters, the players became more enthusiastic and got the three points,” he said.

Meanwhile, Barito Putera coach Rahmad Darmawan appreciated and congratulated Persis Solo for winning the match. He also thanked the players who had worked hard and played according to instructions even though the results were not satisfactory.

“Even though the results were not good, the players showed good enthusiasm and motivation and fought until the last minute. Overall the match was tough, we had lots of chances but unfortunately we couldn't convert them well. “We were unlucky tonight,” he explained.
