Prediction of Atalanta vs Liverpool Player Lineups in the Europa League

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Liverpool must score four goals without reply or win by a margin of four goals or more against hosts Atalanta in order to qualify for the Europa League semifinals, Friday (19/4/2024).

Jurgen Klopp's troops must realize this seemingly impossible dream when they visit Atalanta's headquarters, Gewiss Stadium, if they want their team to still have a chance of progressing to the top four.

In the first meeting at Anfield Stadium, Atalanta made a big surprise, namely winning with three goals without reply against Liverpool. The winning goals for Gian Piero Gasperini's troops were scored by Gianlica Scamacca in the 36th and 60th minutes, as well as Mario Pasalic (83rd).

In this match at the stadium formerly known as Aleti Azzurri D'Italia, Atlanta is predicted to play a 3-4-1-2 pattern. He will partner Charles de Ketelaere and Gianluca Scamacca in the front row.

These two players will be supported by Dutch player Teun Koopmeiners. The quartet of David Zappacosta, Mario Pasalic, Ederson and Matteo Ruggeri will operate in the middle row.

In the Liverpool camp, coach Klopp is expected to use his flagship 4-3-3 formation. He will feature the trio of Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz on the front lines.

These three players will be supported by Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Harvey Elliott. Meanwhile, in the back row, the coach who will leave at the end of the season will field Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson. The goalkeeper position will be entrusted to Alisson.

Atalanta surprised the Anfield public when they won 3-0 on legs first last week. The Italian side followed up that important win with a 2-2 draw at home to Hellas Verona on Monday night.
