Roma vs Milan Prediction: Rossoneri Will Not Give Up

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – AC Milan travel to the capital to face AS Roma in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals in the hope of bouncing back after defeat at the San Siro. The Roma vs Milan match was held at the Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Friday (19/4/2024) at 02.00 WIB.

Looking back at the Europa League first leg match at the San Siro, Gianluca Mancini's header in the first half made Roma emerge victorious.

However, Milan will not just give up facing hosts Roma, early this morning.

In his pre-match press conference, Stefano Pioli emphasized that his team had the confidence and preparation to turn the score around. However, it will be a difficult task at the Stadio Olimpico.

A comeback mission was on the cards for Milan after a very flat performance in the first leg, a match that arguably should have still ended in a draw given the wasted chances and a late penalty not awarded.

In the Roma vs Milan match, there were three players who Pioli could not play due to injury, namely Pierre Kalulu and Tommaso Pobega who were still recovering from long-term problems, and Simon Kjaer who suffered an injury in the draw against Sassuolo.

In the double axis of midfield, it is very likely that Ismael Bennacer and Tijjani Reijnders will partner. The trident of Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Rafael Leao, will be behind single striker Olivier Giroud.

Milan has not been convincing in the last two matches. Lost against Roma at home, and only drew when they visited Sassuolo. However, Roma still has to be wary of Milan's revival.

Daniele De Rossi looks set to make a change. Stephan El Shaarawy is expected to return to play on the right side against his former club.
