Presidential Cup Esports 2023 Targets 50,000 Participants

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The President Cup Esports 2023 electronic sports championship targets 50,000 participants from various regions in Indonesia. This series of the largest non-developer esports tournaments in Indonesia begins with a ceremony kick off which was launched today, Tuesday (18/7/2023).

This is the fifth edition in a row since the first edition was held in 2019.

Head of Public Relations and Communication of the Indonesian Esports Council (PB ESI) Ashandi Ang said the President Esports Cup is one of the important motors that has and will spur the development of Indonesia’s esports achievements.

“This tournament has actually created opportunities for Indonesian esports talents to improve their abilities and achievements, while ensuring that the regeneration process can continue. It is hoped that through this event, potential talents in Indonesia can continue to develop themselves and be ready for the future. which was brilliant on the international esports competition stage,” said Ashandi Ang at Grand Indonesia Jakarta, Tuesday (18/7/2023).

According to him, the achievements of Indonesian esports athletes this year are very encouraging. Therefore, the 2023 Esports President’s Cup must continue to be rolled out to ensure that Indonesian esports continues to produce outstanding athletes.

Chief Executive of the 2023 President Esports Cup, Rangga Danu Prasetyo, explained the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration to advance the esports industry in Indonesia. This championship is not only a place for athletes to show their teeth, but also a stage for other elements such as talents, brand ambassadors, casteruntil hosts to show their talents.

“The esports ecosystem in Indonesia can be said to be very broad, and will continue to be developed by all stakeholders who are in it. The 2023 Esports President’s Cup is part of that ecosystem, which is also growing every year. It is not impossible if in the future esports will not only become a competition, but also a means of entertainment or entertainment,” explained Rangga.

In addition, for the first time, the 2023 Esports President’s Cup will also open a special competition for women through branches games Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This is a continuation of Kincir Esports’ commitment to develop a competitive scheme lodieshaving previously held the 2023 IESPL Women Championship earlier this year.

The registration period for the President’s Cup Esports 2023 has been open since 13 July 2023. After the ceremony kick offthe tournament will proceed to the qualifying stage which is divided into regional qualifiers, closed qualifiers and open qualifiers.

The finalists from each branch games will compete in the round Grand Finals The 2023 Esports President Cup is planned to be held at the Bung Karno Tennis Indoor Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, in October.

The holding of the 2023 President Esports Cup is a collaboration of the private sector and has received full support from the Government of Indonesia through various ministries and institutions, including the Office of the Presidential Staff, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and PB ESI.
