Agreed on a 3-year contract, Aubameyang moves to Marseille

London, Beritasatu.com – Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has reportedly agreed a three-year contract with Olympique Marseille.

The duration of the contract is quite surprising considering that the player from Gabonese is already 34 years old and only scored 3 goals in 22 appearances last season.

Aubameyang has only started 10 games for Chelsea and has not featured squad Champions League for knockout stages.

The former Arsenal captain has endured a difficult time at Stamford Bridge since his £12m move from Barcelona last September.

He actually still has a year left on his contract with Chelsea, which is valued at around £160,000 per week. Aubameyang is looking to leave Chelsea this summer and has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Marseille, meanwhile, finished third in Ligue 1 last season and could feature in this season’s Champions League if they progress past the qualifying rounds this summer.

Marseille is currently in talks with Chelsea to allow the striker to leave Stamford Bridge on a free transfer.
