PSSI chairman Erick Thohir Appoints Frank Wormuth to be a Consultant Coach for the U-17 Indonesian National Team
The selection of Indonesian national team players for the 2023 U-17 World Cup has taken its toll. Seven players, including four diaspora, were dropped due to intense competition.
“There were seven names that were sent home by coach Bima (Sakti) yesterday after the internal game. There were four diaspora who were sent home,” said PSSI Technical Director Indra Sjafri.
Those eliminated were Muhammad Afazriel, Dimas Arya, and Muhamad Gaoshirowi. While the four diaspora who died included Madrid Augusta, Mahesa Ekayanto, Aaron Nathan, and Staffan Qabiel.
There are still six surviving diaspora, one of which is Aaron Liam Suitela. While Welberlieskott de Halim Jardim or Welber Jardim there is no certainty because they are still playing with Sao Paulo U-17 and unable to participate in the selection.
