– One of the Indonesian National Team players, Irfan Jauhari, on Monday (22/5/2023) returned to his hometown in Ngawi, East Java. Irfan Jauhari was immediately invited to the National Awakening Day ceremony at the Wedya Graham Hall, Ngawi Regency.

Irfan Jauhari, who scored the third goal in the 2023 SEA Games final against Thailand, helped the national team win 5-2 against their eternal rival. Indonesia succeeded in winning the SEA Games gold medal, as well as the first time since last winning it at the 1991 Manila SEA Games.

From the achievements he achieved, Irfan Jauhari became an idol and came to the attention of the Ngawi District Government. Apart from inviting him to the Hall, the Ngawi Regency Government also gave him a number of awards.

“Irfan’s goal pumped up the national team’s fighting spirit. In the end, the game was much more enthusiastic, prettier, and finally won,” said the Regent of Ngawi, Ony Anwar.

For this reason, the Ngawi Regency Government also appreciated Irfan’s struggle and achievements, by giving a cash bonus of IDR 25 million and also from Bank Jatim worth IDR 10 million. This is to spark the enthusiasm of other athletes so they can follow Irfan’s achievements.

“Yes, this is a tresno tondo from the Ngawi Regency Government. Maybe Irfan’s bonus from the central government is much bigger,” said Ony.

Meanwhile, Irfan Jauhari, when met after the ceremony, said he admitted that he was proud to be able to make his hometown, which is a small city in East Java, proud. He was grateful to have been invited and well received by the Ngawi Regency Government for his achievements.

“I hope of course it can be even better than now, and can make Indonesia proud on the world stage,” added Irfan.

After the ceremony, the Persis Solo player immediately became the prey of the ASN of the Ngawi Regency Government to take a selfie together. He plans to stay for a while in Ngawi then return again to prepare for training with the national team.
