Rodtang Did Not Close the Door Again to Face Superlek

– Thai fighter, Rodtang Jitmuangnon emphasized that he is ready to face anyone’s opponent including, Superlek Kiatmoo9. This confirmation was conveyed by Rodtang in response to the many requests from fans who wanted him to meet again with Superlek.

However, Rodtang admits that Superlek is not his opponent’s priority at the moment.

After defeating Mexican Muay Thai champion Edgar Tabares at One Fight Night 10 at the beginning of May, many people have asked about “The Iron Man”‘s next fight.

The Thai star also mentioned the name of OneBantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty, to the best pound-for-pound kickboxer Takeru Segawa for his next opponent.

However, the public is still not satisfied. The problem is, Rodtang didn’t mention Superlek’s name in the list of potential next opponents.

In fact, Rodtang had originally been scheduled to face the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion in the main match of One Fight Night 9. It’s just that Rodtang was forced to withdraw and was replaced by Danial Williams, due to an injury in the last minute.

During the press conference after One Fight Night 10, Rodtang was again asked about the postponed match against his compatriot.

“I want to fight anyone, including Superlek. Just from my perspective as a Thai, it would be better for Superlek to hold the kickboxing belt while I hold the Muay Thai belt. That’s better for Thailand,” Rodtang replied.

Back to the start, Rodtang also wants to fight the other two top names rather than having to fight his best friend in the near future.

“I’m ready to fight anyone, but I really want to fight Haggerty and Takeru now,” he concluded.

In the division, no one seems to have the potential to overthrow the Muay Thai king. The name Superlek was predicted to have the potential to end Rodtang’s dominance, both in Muay Thai and kickboxing.
Another interesting fact, Rodtang has only met fellow Thai stars once in One Super Series. This happened at the One: No Surrender 2020 event.
