Agree with Al-Hilal, Messi Becomes the Player with the Most Expensive Salary

– Lionel Messi’s move to Al-Hilal has reportedly been concluded and is said to be the world’s highest-paid player. The Argentine will be reunited with his eternal rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, in Saudi Arabia.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner has sparked intense speculation over his future intentions after opting against agreeing a new contract at Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. With his contract running out, Messi will become a free agent this summer.

It was mentioned that the Argentina captain when he won the 2022 World Cup trophy would return to his old club Barcelona. But the financial difficulties the Catalan club have endured have made Messi’s reunion with the club who raised him difficult.

Another discourse for Messi is to play in the United States. David Beckham’s club Inter Miami are said to be interested, but a move to MLS competition also appears to have been ruled out.

French news agency, AFP, mentioned that Messi had agreed to move to Al-Hilal. There is talk of a £400 million deal prepared for him by Al-Hilal. The value of this contract will make Messi surpass Ronaldo as the highest paid player on the planet.

The news about Messi’s agreement with Al-Hilal strengthened after the Argentinian player reportedly went to Saudi Arabia even without permission from PSG. As a result of this action, Messi was sanctioned by PSG, namely not being able to appear in two matches and a fine.

It was previously reported that the Al Hilal club are seeking an extraordinary £400 million deal to sign Lionel Messi from PSG this summer.

The move to sign the Argentine would see former Manchester United striker Ighalo leaving after his contract expires.

Sky Sports reports that a verbal offer has been made for Messi with the overall package set to be worth over £400m as his contract at PSG also expires this summer.

A move to Saudi Arabia would make Messi the highest-paid player in world football history, with a weekly salary of over £6 million or around Rp.111.2 billion per week.

If realized, the Saudi Arabian football competition will attract even more attention because now there is Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. Any deal that brings Messi to Al Hilal will see the two compete again, just like when Messi played for Barcelona and Ronaldo represented Real Madrid.
