BATC 2024 Schedule, Thursday 15 February: Indonesian Men's and Women's Teams Play in Group Winner Determining Match

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Indonesian men's and women's teams played their final match in the group phase of the 2024 Asian Team Badminton Championship (BATC) at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, Thursday (15/2/2024). They are both aiming for victory in order to secure group champion status.

Currently, the Indonesian men's team is competing with South Korea in the 2024 BATC Group D competition. Both countries have both collected wins in the two previous duels against Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, the Red and White and Hong Kong women's teams dominate Group X, following their success in defeating Kazakhstan in the first match.

“This is an important match to determine group winners. We will field the best strength and all players must give their all. “I hope the players will appear brave and have courage in the middle of the field,” said Head of PP PBSI Achievement Development Division, Rionny Mainaky.

In order to ensure victory, various preparations were made. One way is to study your opponent's game through match recordings.

“To face Korea, we will watch video recordings of our opponents' matches. We just don't know yet whether the opponents we face are real pairs or splits,” said men's doubles player Daniel Marthin.

“The only thing that needs to be anticipated every time we play against Korean doubles is that they usually have a strong defense. They are usually difficult to penetrate. So we just have to be more patient in playing.”
