FIBA Asia Cup 2024, Perbasi Prepares 3X3 National Team

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The 2024 FIBA ​​3X3 Asia Cup is ready to take place on March 27-31 2024, which will be held in Singapore. To face this championship, the Central Management of the Indonesian Basketball Association (PP Perbasi) sent men's and women's teams.

A number of players have been called up. In each category, there are 6 male and female players.

For the men's category, there are Serigne Modou Kane, Erick Ibrahim Junior (Dewa United), Muhammad Daffa Shaldy (Medan Devils), Muhammad Naufal Alifiq (BBM CLS Knights), Yogi Saputra Chan (Amartha Hangtuah), and Muhammad Ivan Rizky Ramdani from South Sulawesi .

Then for the women's category, there is Jesslyn Angelique Aritonang from East Java. Then there are Adelaide Callista Wongsohardjo (GMC Cirebon), Faizzatus Shoimah (GMC Cirebon), Tasya Hery Saputera (CLS Surabaya), Angelica Jennifer Chandra (Mataram Yogyakarta), and Lea Elvensia Wolobubo Kahol (Surabaya Fever).

To handle these two teams, PP Perbasi appointed coach Fandi Andika Ramadhani. The architect who is familiarly called Rama previously managed the Men's 3X3 national team at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

In carrying out his duties, Rama will be accompanied by Dwi Prasetiyono as a strength & conditioning coach. Then Rizky Julian Rifai as operational manager.

“We are making preparations starting now with the hope that this team can provide the best results in Singapore later,” said PP Perbasi Secretary General Nirmala Dewi to journalists in Senayan Jakarta, Tuesday (20/2/2024).

“Regarding the young players we rely on because of their strong determination to regenerate in the national team. After being at 5 on 5 now regenerating at 3X3. “The hope is that they can be more mature in the next few championships because our target is that if 3X3 continues to be given the opportunity to play, it will open up the opportunity to qualify for the 2028 Olympics,” said Nirmala Dewi.

According to Rizky Julian Rifai, the decision to combine coaches for the two national teams was based on efficiency considerations. Remember, this championship is held in one place and held simultaneously.

“Efficiency reasons are our consideration in determining the composition of coaches. With this decision, we also want to maximize the available preparation time. Because, if we talk about ideal, of course a month of preparation is certainly not the ideal time. “But we get around this lack of ideality in this way,” explained Rizky.
