Five Goal Drama, The Blues Key to Victory at Stamford Brigde

London, Beritasatu.com – Chelsea achieved victory over Newcastle United in the 28th Premier League match at Stamford Brigde, Tuesday (12/3/2024) early morning. With a 5 goal drama, The Blues managed to narrowly outperform The Magpies with a score of 3-2 and locked in victory at home.

Thanks to this victory, the Blues are now in 11th position in the Premier League standings with 39 points. Meanwhile, Newcastle is stuck in 10th position in the standings with 40 points. This victory was also a proving ground for coach Mauricio Pochettino, who previously achieved a draw at home to Brentford.

The match had only been running for six minutes when the Blues were able to open the scoring with Nicolas Jackson kicking the ball into the bottom corner of Newcastle United's goal.

Before halftime, Newcastle United were only able to equalize in the 43rd minute. Alexander Isak received a pass from Bruno Guimares and controlled the ball before firing a shot into the bottom corner of the Chelsea goal.

In the second half, The Magpies kicked off from the start, but didn't produce a goal. Until finally the Blues were able to increase their lead in the 57th minute with a goal from Cole Palmer so Chelsea took a 2-1 lead.

This advantage was then strengthened again by Chelsea in the 76th minute when substitute Mykhailo Mudryk scored, Chelsea took a 3-1 lead.

Before the match ended, Newcastle United reduced the deficit in the 90th minute. Jacob Murphy created his own chance and fired a hard shot from inside the penalty box without goalkeeper Petrovic being able to stop it.

The match, which lasted until the 97th minute, ended, Chelsea was able to achieve a narrow victory with a score of 3-2 and this was the Blues' 11th win this season.
