Free Viewers Watch All 2023 SEA Games Matches

The Cambodian government waived all match tickets for free for spectators of all 2023 SEA Games matches.

Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent at the 2023 SEA Games, Lexyndo Hakim will coordinate with the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) Phnom Penh regarding the wishes of Indonesian citizens (WNI) in Cambodia who want to directly support the struggle of national athletes.

“Surely there will be Indonesian citizens who want to support watching the struggle of the Red and White athletes live while there,” said Lexy, Monday (1/5/2023).

He said, apart from eliminating all match tickets and television broadcasting rights for free, the regulation also allows fans to watch the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2023 SEA Games live without any cost.

For the delegation of tournament participants, it is also free, there will be no fees at all. Participating team officials can also enjoy food and accommodation for free. This was recently released by the 2023 SEA Games Local Committee (CAMSOC).

This policy is distributed equally to fans, delegates and advertising partners. This step is a milestone in organizing the SEA Games, because Cambodia became the first country to make everything free.

SEA Games 2023 Cambodia takes place May 5-17. The opening ceremony itself will be held on May 5 while the closing ceremony will be held on May 17.

However, there are a few sports that will kick off, on April 29, such as football. There are 36 sports and 1 additional new sport that will be held.
