Google Will Improve Google Pixel 8 Pro Camera Capabilities, Use Sensors from Samsung

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Google is said to be introducing its newest smartphone this year. Internet giant is predicted to introduce Google Pixel 8 at Google I/O 2023.

As usual, Google will release two models smartphones namely Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro. Now, based on leaks from leakster Ice Universe, information regarding the specifications for the Google Pixel 8 Pro has begun to be revealed a little.

Citing information from GSMArena, Tuesday (25/4/2023), Google is said to be increasing the camera capabilities of the latest Pixel Pro version. Leaks say the Google Pixel 8 Pro will use the ISOCELL GN2 sensor from Samsung.

For information, this sensor is the largest from Samsung with a size of 1/1.12 inches and has a resolution of 50MP. Then, once done binningthe resolution becomes 12.5MP.

The use of this sensor is said to be a big improvement made by Google, when compared to that used on the Pixel 7 Pro. Last year, the Pro version of the Google Pixel used a 50MP resolution sensor with a size of 1/.31 inch.

This step also makes sense, because there are many models flagship smartphones now it’s starting to move to the 1-inch sensor. However, information regarding this certainty is still waiting for an official announcement from Google.

To note, in recent years, Google has focused on improving the capabilities of the camera on the smartphone it makes. For example, the Pixel 7 is getting an increased zoom and the Pixel 7 Pro is getting a new macro photography mode.

Therefore, the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are also likely to excel in the camera department and use the new Tensor processor. Unfortunately, so far there haven’t been many leaks that can provide an overview of these two phones.
