Jokowi Calls Indonesia Proposes 8 Stadiums to Title the U-17 World Cup

– President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that there are 6 to 8 stadiums in Indonesia that will be offered by Indonesia to be the choice of venue for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. Unfortunately, the president did not mention which stadiums were superior besides Si Jalak Harupat.

Later, according to Jokowi, the matter of the certainty of the designated stadium will be handed over to FIFA.

“It’s not the president who determines whether FIFA is appropriate or not. Our job is to prepare, repair, renovate. If FIFA is here, it’s ready, that means it’s feasible,” Jokowi told media crews when checking and selecting the U-17 national team for West Java Province, Wednesday (12/7/23).

At the upcoming U-17 World Cup, Jokowi also hopes and targets Indonesia to enter the preliminaries and even win.

“Yes, the first one can enter the preliminary, thank God I can enter the final, thank God I won,” said the number one person in the country, greeted by the amen of everyone present at the Jalak Harupat Stadium.

As rumored Beritasatu.com Previously, Jokowi visited the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Wednesday (12/7/2023) morning, to immediately see and check after the Jalak Harupat had been renovated to become one of the U-17 World Cup venues.

During his working visit to West Java for two days, Jokowi was accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, and PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir and West Java Governor M Ridwan Kamil.
