Profile of Agus Prayogo, Collector of 7 SEA Games Gold Medals

Marathon athlete Agus Prayogo won the first gold medal from the 2023 SEA Games Cambodia athletics branch. This gold medal is the seventh time for Agus in the SEA Games.

Agus Prayogo became the fastest in the marathon number at the World Heritage Site area, Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Saturday (6/5/2023).

This gold medal is the seventh for Agus Prayogo in the multi-event SEA Games.

This is the profile of Agus Prayogo, a West Java athlete who first appeared at the SEA Games in 2009 in Laos.

At that time, Agus Prayogo won gold from the 10,000 meter race. Furthermore, he became the best in the 10,000 and 5,000 meter numbers at the 2011 SEA Games in Palembang.

After only winning bronze and silver at the 2013 SEA Games in Naypyidaw (Myanmar) and the 2015 Singapore SEA Games, the athlete who was born in Bogor on August 23, 1985 again triumphed in the 10,000 m at the 2017 SEA Games Kuala Lumpur. At that time Agus also took part in the marathon number and won silver.

At the 2019 SEA Games in Manila, Agus became the best in the marathon, but failed to defend at the 2021 SEA Games in Hanoi.

“I am grateful to win gold again after only silver in Hanoi. This is for all Indonesian people,” said Agus Prayogo.
