This gold medal is the seventh for Agus Prayogo in the multi-event SEA Games.

The 38-year-old athlete said that from the start he tried to keep his distance and at kilometer 17 he started trying to escape.

Even though he is 38 years old, Agus Prayogo can still survive for one or two more SEA Games.

“God willing, I can still be in 2 or 3 more years at the marathon. If the managers and coaches still trust me, I will always be ready for the sake of the country,” said Agus Prayogo.
