Rayo vs Barcelona: Fallen, Blaugrana Fails to Widen the Distance with Madrid

– Barcelona failed to widen the gap to 14 points with arch rivals Real Madrid after surprisingly losing, 1-2, at home to Rayo Vallecano, in the Spanish League continued, Thursday (27/4/2023) early morning WIB.

Even though Barcelona dominated possession, Rayo actually managed to score first through Alvaro Garcia’s action in the 39th minute. This 30-year-old striker successfully broke into Ter Stegen’s goal using striker Camello’s bait. The 1-0 score for the hosts lasted until the first half was over.

When the second half has been running for eight minutes, Rayo doubled the advantage. This time the goal was scored by left back Francisco Garcia. He managed to snatch the ball from De Jong and then fired a left footed shot which broke into the visitors’ goal.
