Sam Fender cancels rest of tour – Sam Fender has cancelled the last performances of his AMERICAN tour to focus on his mental health. The singer-songwriter finds it hypocritical to write songs about mental health without paying attention to his own.

“I’ve been neglecting myself for over a year and not addressing things that have touched me deeply. It is impossible to work on myself while touring and it is tiring to feign my happiness and well-being for the sake of my work,” writes the British singer in a post on social media.

The 28-year-old Fender does not mention what exactly is going on with him. “My friends and colleagues have been worried about me for a while and it won’t get any better if I don’t take the time. Me and the boys are burned out and we need this time.”

The singer apologizes for cancelling the performances. Fender thanks his fans and emphasizes that he wants to be able to give everything at every performance. He also announces that his concerts in Australia in November will continue for the time being.

The singer-songwriter cancelled performances at some festivals last summer because of problems with his throat. His show at Lowlands went ahead last month.
