Tighten the Left Wing, Persib Gaet Ryan Kurnia

– Persib Bandung seeks to add strength to the wing position by bringing in Ryan Kurnia, who previously defended Persikabo 1973.

The 26-year-old player was recruited by Persib and tied him to a two-year term contract.

“Ryan Kurnia is bound by a two-year contract,” said the main director of PT Persib Bandung Dignified (PBB) Teddy Tjahjono.

According to Teddy, the Bogor-born player was brought in to meet the team’s needs and on the recommendation of Persib’s head coach, Luis Milla.

“In recruiting players, of course we move according to the coach’s recommendations and try to meet the needs that the coach wants. The same goes for recruiting Ryan Kurnia,” said Teddy again.

The player who has also worn the PSGC Ciamis costume is the West Java capital club’s first signing in the transfer market ahead of the 2023/24 League 1 season.

Previously, Maung Bandung had extended the contracts of several of his players, such as Robi Darwis, Ferdiansyah Cecep, Kakang Rudianto, as well as a player currently strengthening Indonesia at the SEA Games, Beckham Putra Nugraha.

With Persikabo 1973, Ryan appeared in 30 games by contributing four goals and four assists last season.

Last season, he often played the role of right winger. However, he can also play on the left wing. Persib certainly hopes that this ability will be very useful in realizing the target of becoming a champion.

This SSB Gelora Muda graduate started his professional career as a footballer with Persita Tangerang in 2018. He then had time to travel to Manado and Malang to strengthen North Sulawesi United and Arema FC.
