In Indonesia, there is a prestigious volleyball competition event, namely the Proliga which is held by PBVSI or the Indonesian Volleyball Association. For information, Proliga 2023 has just finished being held on March 19.

The first place in Proliga 2023 was won by the Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi team for the men’s team, and Bandung BJB Tandamata for the women’s team. 1. Service
Service is a ball stroke that is carried out behind the end line of the field until it passes over the net towards the opponent’s area. In volleyball, serve is defined as the first punch that signals the start of the game.

There are three types of serves, namely over the head serve or overhead serviceunderhand serve or underhand serviceand the jump serve or jump service.

Float Serve or Floating Service
Float service or floating serve is a service stroke technique that is done by bouncing the ball without making it spin. Blow float serve will produce a ball that bounces horizontally.

Movement float serve this is similar to the overhead serve in that the ball is hit while in an overhead position however, the difference between the two is the moment it hits the ball and the final movement after hitting the ball. In the floating service, the ball will stick to the heel of the hand and the thumb will be folded in and attached to the palm. Meanwhile, on the top serve, the palms will be open.

Underhand Service or Under Serve
The second service is also known as underhand service or under serve. This is an initial hitting technique that is done by throwing the ball low, then hitting the ball with a gripping hand that is swung from below.
