3 Indonesian Mixed Doubles Shown at BAC Today Including Praveen/Melati

– Three Indonesian representatives are scheduled to appear today, Tuesday (25/4/2023), including the mixed doubles Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti.

Two other Indonesian representatives are also from mixed doubles. They are Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati and Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.

Appearing at the Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, Al Nasr Club, Praveen/Melati will face the Japanese pair, Kyohei Yamashita/Naru Shinoya. The world number 39 mixed doubles has once faced Yamashita/Shinoya and won. Praveen/Melati defeated the world’s 16th ranked doubles in the quarter-finals of the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships. At that time Praveen/Melati won, 21-17, 22-20.

Meanwhile, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati will meet the doubles of Taiwan, Chang Ko-Chi/Lee Chih Chen. Rehan/Lisa, who are currently in 11th place in the world, have never met the 31st ranked pair.

Another Indonesian representative who will play today is Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja. The Danish Masters 2022 champion will face the Chinese pair, Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping. Dejan/Gloria, ranked 19th in the world, once faced the doubles who is now the fifth seed and lost.
