M Taufik Dies, PBVSI Lost the Best Figure

The Indonesian Volleyball Association (PBVSI), especially the DKI Jakarta PBVSI Pemprov, lost one of its best figures, with the passing of Mohamad Taufik.

M Taufik, as he is known, is the General Chair of the DKI Jakarta PBVSI Pengprov for the 2019 to October 2023 period.

The former deputy chairman of the DPRD DKI breathed his last on Wednesday (3/5/2023) at 21.45 at Siloam Hospital.

M Taufik has been suffering from lung cancer for a long time.

Jakarta PBVSI Pengprov Daily Chairperson, Zulfarshah, said that the deceased was a very good volleyball figure.

Since being elected as General Chairperson of PBVSI DKI Jakarta, M Taufik has always thought about the fate of athletes and their achievements.

“We have lost a capable chairman. Pak Taufik always thinks about volleyball, especially DKI Jakarta, even though he is busy with his routine activities as a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD,” said Zulfarshah.

Zulfarshah said that when he was initially elected as General Chairperson of DKI Jakarta PBVSI Pengprov, M Taufik promised to advance volleyball in Jakarta by holding a RW level tournament.

“In Jakarta there are 200 volleyball courts scattered in sub-districts throughout the capital region. Thus, many will take advantage of the volleyball courts in Jakarta,” said Taufik while being elected as Chairman of the DKI PBVSI Pengprov in 2019.
