Adrien Rabiot Gives Bad News for Manchester United

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Adrien Rabiot has made his decision about his future amid rumors of being a target for Manchester United.

Rabiot opted to sign a new one-year contract at Juventus. This decision also ended MU’s hopes of bringing in the French player on a free transfer.

Rabiot was first approached by the Red Devils last summer, but they were unable to reach an agreement on a personal basis and he ended up staying at the Allianz Stadium.

Rabiot went on to enjoy his best season in a Bianconeri shirt to date, proving to be one of Juventus’ mainstays in a season rocked by allegations of financial mismanagement of the club.

His contract expires at the end of June and Man Utd interest is still there, but Rabiot has now signed a new one-year deal in Turin.

In a statement, Juventus said Adrien Rabiot had renewed until 30 June 2024 and was ready to experience more emotions in the black and white shirt.

“177 appearances, 17 goals scored and three trophies won (Scudetto, Italian Cup and Italian Super Cup). These are the achievements accumulated to date, which are destined to be further enriched,” wrote Juventus in a statement.

“The story isn’t over, we still have a long way to go and we are ready to keep running together towards our goal. Congratulations, Adrien!” continued the statement.

Previously, Rabiot had expressed his interest in playing in the Premier League. He made this statement in December last year.

“In my career, I always said I wanted to play in England. I still have that desire. I want to develop in the Premier League,” Rabiot said in an interview at the end of last year.
