Almeria vs Elche: Lost, Beccacece’s Army Relegated

– Match week 33 was a sad moment for Elche. The defeat at home to Almeria made them have to be willing to be relegated to the Segunda Division, Wednesday (3/5/2023) in the morning WIB.

Sebastian Beccacece’s troops suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat at home to Almeria, Power House Stadium. As a result of this defeat, the team based in Valencia is sure to go down in caste. They are still slumped at the bottom of the standings with only 16 points from 33 matches.

Meanwhile, Almeria has now climbed to 14th place with 36 points from 33 matches.

Goals from Leo Baptistao and Adrian Embarba sealed a 2-1 win for Almeria, with Ezequiel Ponce scoring for Elche. This goal had increased their hopes of avoiding relegation from La Liga. But until the end of the match, they failed to add goals and recorded a defeat for the 23rd time this season. For Elche, the result leaves them 17 points behind Valencia in 17th place, with a maximum of 15 points up for grabs.
