Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has been hit hard by the Blues’ poor performance in the Premier League this season. The 49-year-old man was sprayed by fans after his club was humiliated by Brighton & Hove Albion.
As is known, Chelsea has indeed slumped in the 2022/2023 Premier League competition. They are ranked 11th in the standings because they were only able to score 39 points from a total of 31 matches that have been played since the start of the season.
Most recently, the Blues have just been humiliated by Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League continued match which was held at Stamford Bridge on Saturday (15/4/2023) evening WIB.
The team, which is now managed by interim manager Frank Lampard, actually took the lead after Conor Gallagher got his name on the scoreboard in the 13th minute.
However, this advantage could not be maintained until the break. Danny Welbeck scored the equalizer three minutes from the end of first-half normal time.
Chelsea’s misery then increased when Julio Enciso also broke into Kepa Arrizabalaga’s net in the second half. As a result, the Blues inevitably were forced to submit 1-2 at home.
This minor note inevitably makes fans disappointed. Metro reports claim that a number of compact supporters expressed anger at The Blues boss Todd Boehly who also witnessed the match. Understandably, Chelsea have indeed swallowed their 12th defeat in the domestic league this season.
