Failed to the Champions League Final, Madrid lost IDR 231.6 billion

– Real Madrid has lost a significant financial advantage after failing to reach the 2022/2023 Champions League final.

Los Blancos must end his struggle in the Champions League this season after being defeated by Manchester City 0-4 in the second leg of the semifinals, Thursday (17/5/2023). With this, Madrid lost 1-5 on aggregate to Man City.

This defeat will have a financial impact on Real Madrid, who will earn € 15.5 million or around Rp. 231.6 billion if they advance to the final and face Inter Milan.

In addition, winning the tournament will provide an additional €4.5 million in funding.

However, despite failing to reach the final, Real Madrid have enjoyed financial success throughout their participation in the Champions League.

Madrid’s run to the semi-finals has generated over €60 million. The funds could help them fund Jude Bellingham’s move from Borussia Dortmund.
