Fastest Fixed Broadband Internet in Indonesia: Biznet, First Media, My Republic or IndiHome?

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Opensignal analyzes the experience of fixed broadband in Indonesia from users across Java and five major cities in Indonesia.

The analytics firm examines four key metrics of broadband user experience: broadband download speed, peak download speed, upload speed and video experience.

In his latest analysis, Java has become the center of analysis due to its larger urban population, supported by greater penetration of fixed broadband internet, and wider coverage of service providers than other regions in Indonesia.

The results of the analysis reveal that the characteristics of broadband subscription packages, such as speed or data limits, vary widely by provider and package mix deployment. This also affects the average experience result.

Opensignal’s measurement captures the user’s experience, regardless of the plan purchased.

Broadband Download Speed

As a result, according to Opensignal, as quoted on Sunday (9/7/2023), Biznet is the top in terms of fixed broadband internet download speed in Java along with First Media.

In addition, Biznet outperformed the competition in various cities, including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and Bekasi by a large margin. The average download speed ranges from 28.1 Mbps to 37 Mbps.

First Media keeps pace with Biznet, sharing the top spot in broadband download speed in Java. First Media occupies the second position for this metric, when viewed from the special results for the cities of Jakarta, Surabaya and Bekasi with Oxygen.id.

In other words, Biznet and First Media are top in terms of broadband download speed in Java. Users of this provider experienced an average download speed of 26.1-26.9 Mbps.

This speed is 25.9 – 29.7 percent faster than My Republic and 40.5 – 44.7 percent faster than IndiHome.
