Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – A total of 57,495 spectators watched the 2026 Asian Zone World Cup qualifying match between Indonesia and Vietnam at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (21/3/2024). Among the spectators was President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who witnessed the Garuda Team's match directly.

Jokowi, wearing a white long-sleeved T-shirt, was present with the first lady, Iriana Jokowi. The President was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of BUMN and Chairman of PSSI Erick Thohir, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang, Minister of ATR/Head of BPN Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antony, and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.

The Indonesia vs Vietnam match is the third match of the second round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the Asian zone. Indonesia, which is part of Group F, previously lost 1-5 when they visited Iraq's headquarters, and played 1-1 when they visited the Philippines' headquarters.

Entertaining Vietnam, Indonesia successfully beat The Golden Stars, Vietnam's nickname, with a score of 1-0. The only goal was scored by striker Egy Maualana Vikri in the 52nd minute.
