Indonesia Ready to Continue All England Momentum

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – The Indonesian badminton team is ready to compete in the 2024 Asian Championships or Badminton Asia Championships at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Ningbo, China, 9-14 April 2024. The Garuda squad is ready to continue the momentum of success at the last All England.

The Red and White badminton squad departed from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten, for the 2024 Asian Championships or Badminton Asia Championships, Sunday (7/4/2024) at 09.10 WIB.

They used China Southern Airlines CZ 388 on the route to Guangzhou. After transiting for about 3 hours, the team will continue to Ningbo.

Facing the 2024 Asian Championships or Badminton Asia Championships, the team departed in high spirits. It is hoped that the momentum of success at the All England will have a positive impact on the players' performance.

“The momentum of victory at the All England must be maintained. Armed with victory, the players' self-confidence will also increase. This positive thing must be maintained in the 2024 Asian Championship,” said men's doubles head coach Aryono.

The pairs Fajar Alfian/Muh Rian Ardianto, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin have undergone optimal preparations. It is hoped that these three pairs can achieve the best achievements.

“Fajar/Rian really have to be more alert and work harder. Because the opponents they will face in each round are different from those encountered at the last All England,” said Aryono.

Rian said that he and Fajar were ready to appear. “Preparations also went smoothly without any problems. The victory at the All England then certainly increased our enthusiasm with Fajar. “We will continue to struggle to achieve the next achievement,” said Rian.

Bagas Maulana admitted that he would try to enjoy every match played at the 2024 Asian Championship or Badminton Asia Championships. Efforts to qualify for a ticket to the Paris Olympics are indeed very difficult, but nothing is impossible. Together with Fikri, he will try to show the best performance.

“Fikri and I will play freely and just enjoy every match. I don't want to be burdened by having to win in order to qualify for the Paris Olympics. I will just try to play well first,” he said.

From the men's singles sector, Jonatan Christie also admitted that he was ready to compete in the Asian Championships. His preparation was also considered sufficient. After returning from All England, together with Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jojo was prepared by coach Irwansyah to perform optimally at the 2024 Asian Championships or Badminton Asia Championships.

Jojo admitted that his confidence was also boosted after winning the All England crown. It is hoped that this increased self-confidence will support his performance on the field.

“I feel like my confidence has increased after becoming All England champion. Hopefully this can have a positive impact on my performance in the middle of the field,” hoped Jonatan Christie.

In the women's singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung also said that her preparations were okay. He is ready to compete in the 2024 Asian Championships or Badminton Asia Championships.

“The preparations are good. Just compete. Hopefully the results will be good. I want to secure my ticket to the Paris Olympics,” admitted Gregoria, an athlete from Wonogiri, Central Java.
