Jorge Martin Finishes at the Front in the Portuguese MotoGP

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Spanish racer Jorge Martin managed to achieve his first victory in the 2024 MotoGP season at the Portuguese GP on Sunday (24/03/2024), at the Algarve Circuit.

Martin, who started from third position, immediately took the lead and maintained his position until the finish flag was raised.

Meanwhile, the second position is occupied by the winner pole position Enea Bastianini, who moved up to second place after Maverick Vinales experienced problems with his motorbike and fell on the last lap of the race.

With the fall of Vinales, racer rookie Pedro Acosta managed to climb to third place in his second race in the MotoGP class.

There were three dramas wipe before the finish when Francesco Bagnaia or Pecco and Marc Marquez collided which caused both of them to fall. Marquez was able to continue the race and finished in 16th place while Pecco did not finish the race. The incident was investigated by a panel stewards after the race is over and is not declared as race incident.

With this result, Jorge Martin is now at the top of the drivers' standings with 60 points. Brad Binder is in second place with 42 points and Enea Bastianini is in third place after collecting 39 points.
