Just 15 minutes, Liverpool beat Tottenham 3-0

– The match has only been running for 15 minutes but Liverpool have already slaughtered Tottenham Hotspur, 3-0, in the first round of the Premier League match, Sunday (30/4/2023), at Anfield Stadium.

Liverpool scored the opener after just three minutes when Curtis Jones headed past Fraser Forster’s visitors after latching on to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s cross.

Liverpool’s second goal was scored just two minutes later after Luis Diaz beat Forster using Cody Gakpo’s shot.

Liverpool completed the lead to 3-0 thanks to a goal from the penalty spot scored by Mohamed Salah. The referee pointed to the spot after Tottenham defender Cristian Romero violated Cody Gakpo. With his left foot, Salah kicked the ball into the middle of the goal while goalkeeper Forster anticipated it by jumping to the left.

Liverpool have indeed benefited from Tottenham’s condition, which is still struggling after being left by coach Antonio Conte.

The first meeting of the two teams this season occurred in Week 15, where Liverpool managed to win 2-1 while playing at home to the Spurs who were still coached by Antonio Conte (now coached by Ryan Mason). In that match, Mohamed Salah managed to score two goals for Liverpool in the 11th and 40th minutes, while Harry Kane scored a goal for Spurs in the 70th minute.
