Lionel Messi Will Join Saudi Arabian Club Al-Hilal?

– Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Lionel Messi plans to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal.

The Argentine is currently suspended for two weeks after traveling to Saudi Arabia to fulfill his duties as a tourism ambassador without permission from PSG’s Qatari owners.

Messi will miss two weeks of wages estimated at €1.7 million ($1.9 million), and will miss the games against Troyes and Ajaccio as a consequence.

According to the French sports magazine Onda Ceroa, PSG has also decided to cancel the offer of a contract extension to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. Currently, Messi’s contract at the Parc des Princes will end on June 30, 2023.

Previously, Messi was linked with the news that he would return to the Barcelona club. If the Catalan team can pull off a coup, Messi has decided the next step is to play in Saudi Arabia.

On Radioestadio Noche’s program, it was reported that Messi plans to stay at Barca for just one year before going to Saudi Arabia.

Last month, transfer market experts Fabrizio Romano and the Saudi Gazette reported that Al-Nassr rivals Al-Hilal had offered Messi €400 million ($441 million) a year to join them. This would quickly land him at the top of the Forbes list of the World’s Highest Paid Football Players and Athletes.
