Messi will miss two weeks of wages estimated at €1.7 million ($1.9 million), and will miss the games against Troyes and Ajaccio as a consequence.

According to the French sports magazine Onda Ceroa, PSG has also decided to cancel the offer of a contract extension to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner. Currently, Messi’s contract at the Parc des Princes will end on June 30, 2023.
