Fire Javi Garcia, Leeds United Appoint Sam Allardyce as Coach

– Leeds United have sacked coach Javi Gracia and announced Sam Allardyce as coach for the remaining four games of the season.

The club from Yorkshire is currently ranked 17th in the Premier League standings, only on goal difference from the relegation zone.

Leeds have just four games remaining this season, with their Premier League position in jeopardy. Gracia was previously appointed as a replacement for Jesse Marsch in February but he has won just three of his 11 league games as coach.

Leeds, who have lost four of their last five games, have now appointed Allardyce.

Allardyce’s first challenge as Leeds coach is facing Manchester City at the Etihad, Saturday (6/5/2023).

Apart from Gracia who left Elland Road, The Whites also parted ways with director of football Victor Orta on Tuesday. He joined Leeds in 2017 and helped the club achieve promotion back to the Premier League in 2020.
