Losing Momentum, Leo/Daniel Eliminated by Korean Doubles at the Asian Championships

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Indonesian men's doubles Leo Rolly Carando/Daniel Marthin lost momentum and were eliminated by Korean pair Kim Young Hyuk/Wang Chan in the first round of the 2024 Asian Championship badminton tournament.

Leo/Daniel surrendered in a three-game battle 21-13, 19-21, 21-23 in the 2024 Asian Championship (BAC) match in Ningbo, China, Wednesday (10/4/2024).

“Earlier in the first game we played well and were able to win. Unfortunately in the second and third games, we couldn't take advantage of the existing momentum. “After winning the first game, we should be able to take the second game,” said Leo.

According to Leo, in the third game they were able to catch up. “However, apparently fortune is not yet in our hands. Yes, have to try again. You have to learn how not to easily die yourself. “If we don't die easily on our own, whoever the opponent is will certainly be shaken,” he added.

Previously, Indonesia had to lose the 8th seed in men's doubles, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana. Their chances of going to the 2024 Paris Olympics are gone.

Playing in Ningbo, China, Wednesday (10/4/2024), Fikri/Bagas had to acknowledge the greatness of the representatives of the White Elephant Country, Supak Jomkoh/Kittinupong Kedren 21-15, 16-21, 17-21.
