Menpora Encourages KONI to Develop Innovations to Boost Indonesia’s Sports Achievements

– Menpora Dito Ariotedjo continues to encourage the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) to develop sports innovation through various aspects such as SportsScience, SportsIndustry until SportTourism. Kemenpora said Dito was ready to collaborate so that Indonesia’s sporting achievements could go global.

“We at Kemenpora are ready to collaborate together, let’s increase Indonesia’s sports achievements so that they become more global,” said Menpora Dito at the opening of the 2023 National Sports Committee Conference at the Pullman Hotel, West Jakarta, Tuesday (4/7/2023).

Furthermore, Menpora Dito also expressed his appreciation for the management of the 2019-2023 KONI under the leadership of General Chair Marciano Norman. According to him, organizationally, KONI is an Indonesian sports organization with top management.

“This is proven by the achievements he achieved, namely the SNI ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate, Quality Management System on June 30, 2023,” said Menpora Dito.

One of the closest agendas that KONI must prepare properly is the 2024 National Sports Week (PON) in North Sumatra and Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam.

The Menpora hopes that PON will not just be a week-long sports activity and not just a place for regional prestige to compete, but will become a place for the birth of the glory of Indonesia’s sporting achievements towards the international stage.

“PON must become a unifying vessel for the nation. PON is a grand party which is a symbol of the birth of the glory of Indonesia’s sporting achievements towards the international level to the world level,” he said.

On the other hand regarding the 2023 KONI Musornas, Menpora Dito hopes to get significant results related to the direction of fostering Indonesian sports achievements in the future which are more focused and planned.
