Ministry of Communication and Information Presents E-Book Guide to Eid Homecoming 2024

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The Ministry of Communication and Information (Communications and Informatics) announced that it had released information as well as a homecoming guide through an electronic book (e-book) called Mudikpedia. This e-book is here to provide convenience for people who want to go home during Eid 2024.

According to the Director General of IKP of the Ministry of Communication and Information, Usman Kansong, this electronic book continues the work of the public communication team that has been carried out in previous years.

“This is to provide guidance to people who are going home. All the information needed has been summarized in this booklet,” said Usman in a press release received, Thursday (28/3/2024).

It was stated that the information and guidance in this electronic book is increasingly important because it is predicted that the number of travelers this year will increase compared to the previous year. The Ministry of Transportation estimates that community movement during the Eid 2024 period could reach 193.6 million people.

The presence of Mudikpedia, according to Usman Kansong, is one of the government's efforts to realize 'Cheerful Homecoming, Full of Meaning', in accordance with the Eid 2024 transport slogan.

“The explanation in this electronic book is complete, so they can determine, for example, when and by which route to go home,” said Usman.

Later, the public can use this electronic book to monitor locations that have the potential for congestion, rest areas, nearest gas stations, restaurants and health posts along the Eid homecoming route.

For your information, Mudikpedia has a concept living documents with content that will be updated continuously.

In the book, the public can also monitor traffic directly via CCTV in several locations such as Bandung, East Java, the PBJT PU toll road and Tanjung Priok port.

Not only that, Mudikpedia also provides information and ways to register for free homecoming, as well as ordering train and ferry tickets. Information about toll rates, weather forecasts from BMKG, THR 2024 posts, and money exchange from BI are also provided.

For travelers who use electric vehicles, Mudikpedia also provides information on the whereabouts of SPKLU (Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations).

Information about public transportation, including the feasibility of buses, is also presented in this electronic book.
