Mumbai, Many films have been made on the stories of villages and small towns of India. But only a few of these films have depicted rural India in the right way. ‘Panchkriti – Five Elements’, whose trailer launched today, is based on five stories set in the town of Chanderi in Bundelkhand. Seeing the trailer, the viewers definitely believe that the makers of the film have shown rural India in its true form. The specialty of the film is that it was not shot on any set but in different parts of Bundelkhand.
Explaining the importance of filming in real locations, director Sanjoy Bhargava says, “Films made on sets never feel ‘real’. No matter how hard you try, you cannot recreate a real place on set. When the audience sees a city or village in a film, they should feel that they themselves have reached there. The fragrance of that place should reach the people. I have always believed that villages are more beautiful than cities. There is no crowd and pollution in the village like the cities. The peace that is found in rural India is not found anywhere else. ,
Chanderi is a small town which has always been known for its historical pillars. Apart from the grand Jain temples, Chanderi is known for its natural beauty. Chanderi is surrounded by beautiful mountains from all sides and all these things add to the beauty of the city. All the five stories depicted in the film have been shot in Chanderi town.
Director Sanjoy Bhargava further adds, “The five different stories of the film will expose the audience to different forms of Chanderi. There are many unique things to do in this small town. One who visits Chanderi once never forgets it. Our film highlights different aspects of rural India. The city and district administration helped us a lot and we are thankful to them for that. We did not face any kind of problem or hindrance during the shoot.”
‘Panchkriti – Five Elements’ is a female lead film which highlights many problems related to women. The film also creates awareness about many important campaigns of India like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. Audience watching the film in cinema halls will stand a chance to win exciting gifts such as smart TVs, smartphones, cycles and home theater systems by participating in lucky draws at every show.
