Persija’s Sweet End in BRI League 1: Ilham Rio Fahmi Best Young Player, Hansamu Yama Extends Contract

Persija also confirmed the title of the best young player in the BRI Liga 1. This was after Ilham Rio Fahmi was selected as the best young player in the 2022/2023 BRI Liga 1.

This season, the 21-year-old player has earned the confidence to appear in 30 matches with a record of one goal and two assists. He presented one goal against Rans (3/2/2023) and he created assists in the matches vs Barito Putera (22/2/2023 and PSS (15/42023).

In fact, Rio was rewarded with a prestigious award at the end of the season. League 1 named him the Best Young Player for the 2022/2023 season.

Before being elected, Rio’s name was side by side with three other nominees, namely Ananda Raehan (PSM), Fajar Fathurrahman (Borneo FC), and Beckham Putra (Persib).

“Thank you for the 2022/2023 League 1 Best Young Player award. Hopefully this award will further motivate me to be even better in the future,” said Rio.

“I dedicate this award to my family, especially to my grandmother who passed away, to people who have always supported me when I was down or up, and friends of the Jakmania who have always supported me,” he continued.
