Pink Spiders Defeat Red Sparks

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Pink Spiders beat Red Sparks 3-1 (22-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-23) in the Korean Volleyball League playoffs, Friday (22/3/2024), at Incheon Samsan Gymnasium.

Red Sparks star from Indonesia, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi fought tooth and nail against the Pink Spiders, strengthened by the queen of Korean volleyball, Kim Yeon Koung in the first match of the Korean Volleyball League playoffs.

The Korean Volleyball League playoff match was held to determine the teams that would qualify for the Korean Volleyball League final. In the final match, the winner of Red Sparks vs Pink Spiders will meet Hillstate who finished at the top of the regular phase.

The playoff match pits the second-placed team against the third-placed team in the regular phase of the Korean Volleyball League.

Second place in the regular phase of the Korean Volleyball League is occupied by the Pink Spiders with a collection of 79 points from 36 matches. Third place is occupied by Red Sparks who gained 61 points from 36 matches.

The Red Sparks vs Pink Spiders match was held in three matches. The first is March 22 at the home of the Pink Spiders. The second playoff match of the Korean Volleyball League will be held on March 24 at the Red Sparks headquarters, and the third playoff will start on March 26 2026.

If one team is able to win the first two matches in a row, then the third match will not be held. However, if each wins one win, then there will be a third match. The deciding match was held at the home of the Pink Spiders.

The playoff winner will meet Hillstate in the final round starting March 28.

The final round of the Korean Volleyball League will take place in a best of five format, which means there will be five matches. The winning team is the one that wins in three matches.

The first final match will be on March 28, then the second will be on March 30. Furthermore, the third final will be held on April 1, the fourth final will be on April 3. The fifth final match of the Korean Volleyball League will be held on April 5.
