Premier League results: Liverpool beat Leeds United

Liputan6.com, Jakarta- Liverpool can finally return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Reds unmitigatedly shaved host Leeds United 6-1 at Elland Road Stadium, Tuesday (18/4/2023) early morning WIB.

This victory put Jurgen Klopp’s troops in seventh position with 47 points. They are still nine points behind Newcastle United who are in fourth place in the Premier League standings. Leeds itself slumped in 16th place with 29 points.

Playing at home, Leeds tried to press since the game started. Rodrigo Moreno’s actions have often troubled Liverpool’s defense and goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Three minutes later Liverpool doubled the score. Diogo Jota gave a mature pass to Mohamed Salah. The player from Egypt did well to trick goalkeeper Ilan Meslier with a hard shot. Score 2-0 lasted until halftime.
