Ribery and Colantuono Appointed to Replace Liverani to Handle Salernitana

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Salernitana, an Italian club based in Serie A, has appointed Stefano Colantuono and Franck Ribery as the new coaching duo to fill the position left by Fabio Liverani who was fired on Monday (18/3/2024).

Franck Ribery, a former Salernitana player in the 2021-2022 season, is considered to have a significant role in managing the first team's training sessions, helping the club which is struggling in the relegation zone.

Reported by AFPColantuono is the fourth coach appointed by Salernitana after Liverani's departure, responding to the club's poor performance which has not been able to climb from the bottom of the Serie A standings.

Currently, Salernitana is in 20th position with 14 points, nine points adrift of Sassuolo in 19th place and 11 points from Empoli who are in the safe zone in 17th place.

Previously, Colantuono took over Liverani's position, who only worked for a month after replacing Fillipo Inzaghi. Inzaghi himself, a former striker for the Italian national team and AC Milan, was chosen to replace Paulo Sousa who was fired in October 2023, but he only lasted four months before his position was replaced.
