Rarely Played, Christian Eriksen Starts to Get Frustrated

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen, expressed his frustration because he was rarely played by coach Erik Ten Hag.

The player from Denmark joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in 2022 and was a regular player 44 times last season.

However, currently Eriksen finds himself losing ground starting lineup Manchester United after the emergence of young talent, Kobbie Mainoo.

“I have discussed this situation with coach Erik and expressed my desire to play as much as possible,” Eriksen was quoted as saying The Athletic on Wednesday (20/3/2024).

This season, Eriksen has appeared in 16 Premier League matches, but has only had the opportunity to play as a starter nine times.

Eriksen also revealed that the reason he rarely gets the chance to play is because of Kobbie's performance and the tight competition in midfield.

Despite feeling disappointed, Eriksen emphasized that he still fully supports Ten Hag and the Manchester United team.

“This team is showing a positive trend, and I appreciate my role in this team. I will continue to focus and work hard to stay fit in every match,” said the 32 year old midfielder.
