Rumored of Moving to Thailand, Pratama Arhan: Not Interested
– A player from Indonesia who is currently defending Tokyo Verdy, Pratama Arhan, emphasized that he is not yet interested in joining Thai club Muang Thong United even though at the Japanese club they rarely get the chance to play.
Recently, Pratama Arhan has been called by the Thai media to defend Muang Thong United. However, the former PSIS player, who has recently been mentioned by Thai journalists, deserves to be defended by the former PSIS Semarang player.
“I don’t know either. I’ll be there agencyI also have to discuss (with the player’s agent),” said Arhan after training with the Indonesian U-22 National Team at the Bung Karno B training field, Jakarta, Monday (24/4/2023), as quoted Between.
“Yes, let’s see how it will develop in the future. I am still focused on the SEA Games,” added Pratama Arhan again.
It is known that Arhan’s current club, Tokyo Verdy, has recently extended the player’s contract. In January 2024, Tokyo was expected to extend Arhan’s contract until March 2024.
Arhan himself is currently still struggling to get the chance to play at the Japanese second division club. Until now, Arhan has only played once for Tokyo as a starting player, although he was substituted in the second half against Tochigi SC.
However, it is estimated that Arhan’s presence will still make a real contribution by coach Indra Sjafri, in his efforts to bring the national team to win the SEA Games gold medal. Arhan also stated that even though he had only trained once with his teammates in the U-22 national team, he had no significant problems.
“My personal preparation is very good. There are also training, here I have started to join the team, I have started to integrate with the team,” said the 21-year-old player.
At the 2023 SEA Games, Indonesia is in a relatively light group consisting only of the Philippines, Timor Leste, Myanmar and Cambodia. However, Arhan asked his teammates to always be vigilant and not to take their potential opponents in Cambodia lightly.
“We shouldn’t underestimate the team in our group and the next group, because they are both strong teams. Because the younger generation now is all very good,” said the player who was born in Blora.
The U-22 Indonesian national team is planned to leave the country on Tuesday (25/4) tomorrow to head to Cambodia. After that Garuda Muda will meet the Philippines on April 29 to play the first match of the group phase, followed by matches against Myanmar on May 4, Timor Leste on May 7, and hosts Cambodia on May 10.
