The continuation of League 1 2023/2024 returns on April 15

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Clubs participating in Liga 1 2023/24 don't have to wait too long to return to the field. PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator has decided that the continuation of the 2023/24 Liga 1 competition is scheduled to start again on April 15 2024.

This decision was taken by PT LIB after holding an online meeting with the 2023/24 League 1 club owners on Thursday (4/4/2024).

“In this club owner meeting, we tried to find a solution that benefits all parties. Finally, we decided that the 31st week of Liga 1 2023/24 will resume on April 15 2024,” said LIB Main Director, Ferry Paulus, on Thursday ( 4/4/2024) afternoon.

Furthermore, Ferry explained that the determination of April 15 2024 had taken various things into consideration. Therefore, club owner meetings were held twice, namely on Wednesday (3/4/2024) evening and Thursday (4/4/2024) evening.

“At the club owners' meeting, there were several date options for resuming Liga 1 2023/2024. After all parties understood and considered the situation, conditions and readiness of the club which would not be ideal if they had to wait too long, we decided to resume the competition on April 15 2024,” added Ferry.

Previously, on Saturday (30/3/2024), it was announced that the continuation of League 1 2023/24 was postponed due to considerations of the participation of the U-23 National Team in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup on 15 April-3 May 2024.

Meanwhile, the decision to continue the competition on April 15 2024 was immediately conveyed to all clubs via official letter number 468/LIB-COR/IV/2024.

“We expect the club to prepare for the match according to the schedule that has been set so that it runs smoothly,” said the letter signed by Ferry Paulus.
