Hanoi, Beritasatu.com – Vietnam coach Philippe Troussier officially reached an agreement to terminate his contract with the Vietnam Football Federation (LDBDVN), aka he was fired after the defeat to the Indonesian National Team 0-3 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, Vietnam on Tuesday (26/3/2204).

LDBDVN held an emergency meeting with Troussier after losing to the Indonesian national team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the Asia zone.

“Shortly after the match between Vietnam and Indonesia, the Vietnam Football Federation and Philippe Troussier met to discuss the work process as head coach of Vietnam and Vietnam U-23. At the meeting, Philippe Troussier reached an agreement to terminate the contract starting March 26 2024,” said the statement. VFF official quoted from The Thao 247, Wednesday (27/3/2024).

LDBDVN said Philippe Troussier always worked with a high sense of responsibility and professionalism. LDBDVN wishes Troussier and his family health and happiness.

Meanwhile, Philippe Troussier expressed his gratitude for the support from the players, clubs, LDBDVN and fans. Philippe Troussier apologized to Vietnam fans because the team's performance did not meet expectations.
