Reported GizchinaOmdia predicts that Apple will launch two innovative devices in the next few years.

One of these products is a folding screen iPhone, where this new iPhone series is predicted to launch in 2026.

Another product is the iPad Air OLED which will be released by the Cupertino-based company in 2028.

“We estimate that Apple will launch a 7-8 inch foldable iPhone in 2026,” said Omdia senior researcher Kang Min-soo.

The iPhone SE4 with low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) OLED TFT will be released in 2025, and the entire iPhone 17 series launching in the second half of next year will be equipped with LTPO TFT.

“A 7-8 inch foldable iPhone has more space in the design than a small foldable product measuring around 6 inches, and Apple is learning from competitors' foldable phones,” he said.

Information, folding screen cellphones themselves were popularized by Samsung and Huawei in 2019. Since then, various brands have released their own folding screen cellphone lines.

Currently, the iPad Mini is the only Apple device with a 7.8 inch screen size and comes with an LCD display panel.
