Playing in Ningbo, China, Jojo beat the eighth seed in straight sets. Jojo successfully won 21-11 and 21-6. Jojo confirmed his progress to the top four after fighting for 34 minutes.

This was Jojo's fifth win in their 10 meetings. In the last meeting before meeting at BAC 2024, Lee won with a score of 21-15 and 21-13 in the last 16 of the India Open 2024.
