Argentina trains at SUGBK, Shin Tae-yong: PSSI is a good host

The coach of the Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong stated that Indonesia and the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) acted as good hosts in the FIFA Matchday Indonesia vs Argentina.

Therefore, Indonesia gave Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) as a training ground for the opposing team, namely the Argentina National Team on Saturday (17/6). While the Indonesian National Team trained at Field A GBK Senayan.

“For me it doesn’t matter where to practice. PSSI is just trying to be a good host by giving the opposing team the opportunity to practice on the main field,” said Shin Tae-yong at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) media center, Jakarta, Saturday ( 18/6/2023).

“Moreover, the opponent is Argentina, the world number one or FIFA team. So, they were given the GBK Main Stadium field,” added Shin Tae-yong.

The coach from South Korea also made sense of the best service provided by PSSI to Argentina. Moreover, they came to Indonesia with the status of a world champion team.

“Moreover, we will be fighting a world champion team. Maybe that’s part of the service provided by PSSI. However, I don’t really care where they practice,” explained Shin Tae-yong.

This had indeed become a polemic on social media when the public learned that the Argentina team was training at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK).

Meanwhile, the host Garuda squad only trained at Field A Senayan GBK which incidentally should have had privileges compared to its opponents.

The Indonesian national team will challenge Argentina in the June 2023 FIFA Matchday series. This historic match will be held at the Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Jakarta, tomorrow Monday 19 June 2023 at 19.30 WIB.
